Zhenphen Hearing Care is building a long term partnership with Phonak

Mr. Phub Gyeltshen founded the first hearing care clinic in Bhutan. He is an audiologist and speech-language pathologist with an MBA from the University of Canberra. This venture was initiated as a strategic response to several challenges the Bhutanese population faces, particularly in accessing quality hearing care services.

The core motivation for establishing this clinic stemmed from the difficulties encountered by individuals in obtaining professional hearing care within Bhutan. These challenges included the prevalence of malpractices by pseudo-practitioners, the financial burden of seeking care abroad, and the lack of consistent and quality follow-up services. Furthermore, there was a significant outflow of funds from the country due to the need for foreign services.

Recognizing the need for a reliable and accessible solution, the clinic was conceptualized after thorough market research, discussions, and surveys to ensure it met the specific needs of the Bhutanese people. The foundation of this clinic is also inspired by motivational figures and speeches, including His Majesty’s encouragement to strive beyond perceived limitations.

The clinic operates from a strategic location above the Memorial Chorten, near Bhutan Insurance Limited, providing a much-needed service to the local population.
